absolutely horrid experience! the room had no heat, and the second one smelled like a sewer. I really thought I would be given a room upgrade after all those issues but no, nothing! it's hard to believe this hotel has any stars at all!

Great spot for a family getaway
We loved our stay! The breakfast was super yummy and very fresh. The kids had a blast in the lovely garden area. The only thing was the noise from a nearby wedding party mixed with families dining, which made it a bit chaotic. The space is nice for a chill meal, though.

The spacious rooms boast lovely furniture, giving a nice touch of comfort. A beautiful landscape surrounds the hotel, and it's just a short 10-minute stroll to the town, perfect for a quick escape into local charm.
The corridors leading up to the rooms featured an unpleasant odour, which could put a damper on the experience. Some rooms showed signs of neglect, with dusty surfaces and even spider webs noted, not to mention the need for fresh paint. The carpet could definitely use a good cleaning, which detracts from the overall ambiance.

Just an ideal choice for a getaway in Abbeyleix with high value for money. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Greg, who assisted us with directions and made our stay comfortable. Consider visiting during off-peak times for a quieter experience.

We had a fantastic time with friends! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exploring the quaint local pubs and had a blast at nearby parks. The cozy dining area was perfect for relaxing after a fun day, and breakfast was top-notch. If you're looking for a fun family break, this place is ideal.
One thing to note was a bit of an outdated feel in some areas, like the carpets, but it didn't really impact our overall experience.
